Circular Economy Meetup Series Munich
A new mindset is emerging, which will drive innovation and sustainability in tomorrow’s companies and society – reshaping every part of our lives. What are we talking about?
Circular Economy (CE) is one of the most promising concepts within the field of sustainability. It is based on the principles of designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems. By applying these principles, the current linear “take-make-waste” economy can be shifted towards more circular practices.
#CE Meetup Series Munich – Nr. 2 Circular City Edition
In this virtual meetup we want to focus on the potentials of city circularity and jointly develop an understanding how first steps in Munich could look like. But, why focus on cities?
Cities are among the most interesting ecosystems, which are currently deeply rooted in the linear economy – consuming over 75% of natural resources, producing 50% of global waste and emitting between 60-80% of greenhouse gas emissions.
In our meetup we will hear an inspirational impulse by our guest speaker Dina Padalkina (Founder of Circular.Berlin), sharing her experiences with city circularity in Berlin. Afterwards we will use our community power to create first drafts on how circularity in Munich could look like.
